:Achillea is a group of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae. These plants are known for their hairy, aromatic leaves. They sport, flat clusters of small flowers at the top of each flowering stem which can be orange, white, yellow, pink or red. A number of species, most notably A. filipendulina, A. millefolium, A. ptarmica, are widely available as garden plants. ‘Sweet Yarrow’ is a slow spreading and long flowering plant which over time will form a clump. The divided, aromatic leaves are a light shade of green, tall flower stems are strong and produce lots of daisy like flowers in white/cream with yellow centers. The leaves can be used as a flavoring in stews or soups or on potato salad finely chopped finely.
