Bushman Poison is often grown as Bonsai. It has relatively poor flowering characteristics compared to the more floriferous A. obesum hybrid, but the flowers are anyway beautiful like those of most of the adeniums and range from light-pink to dark magenta pink colour. A. bohemianum almost always drop every leaf during the dormancy period. These plants can only be grown outdoors if the temperature doesn’t fall below 40 deg. F. The San people boil the root sap and latex to prepare arrow poison, which is sufficient for hunting large mammals!
